Ghanaian Multiple award-winning rapper, Sarkodie has been named as brand ambassador for the ‘Year of Return’.
Minister of Tourism, Arts & Culture, Hon Barbara Oteng Gyasi honoured Sarkodie with a Citation for his amazing works and promoting Ghana on the international stage.
Sarkodie delivered a brief yet powerful speech urging patrons present at the 2019 BET Hip-hop Awards to make Ghana their destination when planning of visiting Africa. His speech won the heart of Ghanaians and fans around the globe.
Sarkodie in his acceptance speech after he won the 2019 “Best International Flow” award said;
“I just want to say thank you to the Almighty God. To my family, this one is for my lil girl Titi…. I think Africa has always had it and it is about that time. This year is the Year of Return and I will urge each and every one of you here to take a trip back home. When you’re coming to Africa, choose Ghana.”
