A nine (9) member governing board of the newly created Ghana Integrated Iron and Steel Development Corporation has been inaugurated with a call to develop the steel industry that will engender industrial development of the Nation.
The board is chaired by Prince Andani Imoro. Other members are Kwabena Bonsu Fordwor, Augustus Kwasi Adu, Mathew Tawiah Ababio and Patrick Yaw Nimo.
The rest are Kwaku Addai Antwi Bosiako, John Ntim Fordjour, Kwabena Archer Frimpong and Hamifa Yahaya.
President Akufo-Addo who inaugurated the Board at a brief ceremony at the Jubilee House tasked them to ensure that the exploitation of iron ore and steel deposits are carried out in a manner that will fully benefit the people of Ghana.
He was worried that Ghana is not deriving the full benefits of mineral resources being exploited.
He cautioned against using the office for their personal benefit.
The Chairman of the Board, Prince Andani Imoro, assured the President that they will live up to the trust entrusted in them.
