EC organizes orientation for newly appointed officers

The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission Mrs. Jean Mensa, Wednesday, November 13, charged newly appointed officers of the Commission to create a level playing field for all parties and conduct their official activities without fear or favour.

She was speaking at a two- day orientation program organized for 158 newly appointed officers at the Best Western Hotel in Accra.

Congratulating them on their appointments ,  the Chairperson charged the officers to exhibit a high level of professionalism, discipline and integrity.

The Deputy Chairman in charge of Corporate Services, Dr. Bossman Eric Asare,  advised the officers to be non partisan in the discharge of their duties and also  strive for excellence wherever they are placed.

He further asked them to match their actions and inactions with the confidence reposed in them by the Commission in appointing them as officers.

For his part, the Deputy Chairman of Operations,  Samuel Tettey, urged them to work together in harmony with their colleagues to achieve the overall objective of the Commission.

Present at the orientation were Mrs. Rebecca Adjalo, Adwoa Asuama Abrefa,  Commission Members as well as regional and  head office directors of the EC.
