It was an emotional sight at the Agyabeng Court last Friday, when Stephen Amo, known as Osono, a self-imposed chief of pro-government Elephant Youth Association was on his knees begging for forgiveness from the Court for an ‘attack’ on a Deputy Chief of Staff, Francis Asenso-Boakye.
After the Court examined his docket, a fine was imposed on Amoh, for which he did not hesitate to plead for forgiveness.
He was nevertheless, asked to sign a bond of good behavior for 12 months.
He was billed for illegal assembly in breach of the community order act.
Osono was arrested immediately after he led the group to picket at the residence of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Francis Asenso-Boakye, on Wednesday, November 27, 2019.
The group alleged that Asenso-Boakye owes them and has refused to release cash given them by President Akufo-Addo.
But, Mr. Asenso-Boakye denied the allegations.
He mentioned in a statement that he does not owe any individual or team of people any money, nor has the President provided him any money for any group or individuals which he has withheld, as alleged.
Mr. Asenso-Boakye subsequently lodged a complaint with the law enforcement agencies.
Osono was arrested by staff from the CID on Thursday, November 28, and was subsequently arraigned before Court on Friday, November 29, 2019.
