The Acting Chief Fire Officer of the Service, Edwin Ekow Blankson said this at a media encounter in Accra where he relaunched the National Fire Safety Campaign.

The Acting Chief Fire Officer, Edwin Ekow Blankson said reduction in fire outbreaks requires an all hands on deck approach to observe fire safety and prevention standards.
He said the service will embark on a door to door fire education campaign to get the message of fire prevention to everybody.
On the issue of fighting fires in high rise buildings, Mr. Blankson said government has approved the purchase of two hydraulic platforms to handle such incidents.
He urged the public to ensure that they know their community fire service numbers in order to call on the service in distress situations.
