Scientists in the Savannah Agricultural Research Institute say they are getting ready to provide hybrid seeds particularly maize to farmers to increase production this farming season.

Deputy Director of the Institute, Professor Roger Kanton, said government is sourcing contractors to import more hybrid maize seeds for farmers.

He said they have enough seeds like Soya and Rice.

On dams to water their farms, Professor Kanton said he has not sited any of the dams under the One Village One Dam project. Adding that the Farmers are making do with the old dams they have.
