The Minority in Parliament has issued a three-day ultimatum to government to as a matter of urgency, evacuate all Ghanaian nationals especially students from China due to the coronavirus.

Minority Spokespersons on Foreign Affairs and Health, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwah and Kwabena Mintah Akandoh addressed the media in Parliament yesterday.

The Ranking Member on the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa explained that contrary to fears of the virus crossing into the country, government must evacuate its nationals based on WHO protocols and quarantine them on arrival to protect the country against this global health emergency.

The caucus says it is unfathomable President Akufo-Addo has remained quiet on the matter since the outbreak while his administration seems unmoved by the distress calls of Ghanaian students in China.
