Today is “Founder’s Day”, a day set aside to celebrate the birthday of Ghana’s first president, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah the founding father of Ghana.
This holiday is also known as Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day.
As the country commemorates the day, the National Chairman of the CPP, Professor Edmund Delle will this morning lead a delegation to the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum for a solemn spiritual exercise in memory of the late first President Dr, Kwame Nkrumah.
This will be followed by a news conference in commemoration of Founder’s Day which falls today.
Speaking on Radio Ghana’s Current Affairs Programme, “Behind the News”, a member of the Central Committee of the CPP and Director of Elections, Kwabena Bonfeh said the country has not taken advantage of the foundation laid by the First President Dr.Kwame Nkrumah.
