Police Service restrict visits to inmates in cells

The Ghana Police Service has suspended unofficial visits to inmates in their custody.

The Director of Public Affairs of the Service, Superintendent Sheila Abayie-Buckman in an interview with Radio Ghana said this is in addition to decogesting and disinfecting its cells across the country to prevent a spread of the coronavirus.

She said inmates will be restricted to visits by immediate family members or lawyers or persons they themselves choose.
