Coronavirus: GMA expresses worry over lack of PPEs for frontline health workers

As Ghana’s 14-day imposition of restrictions on residents of parts of the country, by President Akufo-Addo continues, everyone is being encouraged to adhere to WHO’s approved ways of preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Some frontline health workers are however worried the safety of health workers are not protected as expected, as Protective Equipment are not as available as promised by the authorities.

The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) is also worried.

Its General Secretary, Dr. Justice Yankson says there seems to be a problem with the distribution of PPEs, and managers of facilities must ensure frontline staff are properly clothed to avoid being infected.
