The Black Stars midfielder is financing the construction of a school block in Ghana.
Ghana midfielder Christian Atsu has completed paperwork for a portion of land which he intends to use for the construction of a school block for the people of Senya Beraku, located in the Awutu Senya District of the Central Region.
The 26-year-old is a global ambassador for a non-governmental organisation called Arms Around the Child, whose primary mission is to ‘support children living in extreme diversity’.
“I’m very happy, today I received the deeds for the land in #SenyaBeraku which means we can send the first part of the funding out to Ghana to start the building of the new school,” Atsu posted on Twitter.

In 2016, Atsu supported an orphanage home in Senya-Beraku with foodstuffs, assorted drinks and 50 Newcastle jerseys.
Atsu, who has been struggling for game time this season at Newcastle, is expected to be named in Ghana’s squad to face Sierra Leone in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Group F qualifier next month.
