Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei-Adutwum, has called for responsible public behavior to stop the spread of Covid-19 to facilitate the decision to re-open schools.
He said though the decision to re-open schools lies with the President, a reduction in recorded positive cases is a factor that will facilitate the move for schools to resume.
Speaking on GBC Life, Dr. Osei-Adutwum said the Ministry of Education is putting measures in place to ensure the safety of children and students when schools finally resume.
He asked parents to help with educating their wards on the all the preventive protocols to keep them safe.
Dr. Adutwum also explained that Ghana will continue to take a cue from other countries in order to come up with the best strategy which will create a safe and conducive environment for students to study.
He urged private schools to engage and go through the laid down processes to access the stimulus package that was announced by the President.
