Melcom Care Foundation, the philanthropic Arm of Melcom Group of Companies has made a donation of a large quantity of soap to major hospitals in Accra/Tema.

The 20,000 pieces of soaps worth thousands of Ghana Cedis were presented to these selected Hospitals at a short ceremony held in Accra in support of Governments’ effort at fighting covid-19.

The five beneficiaries are Korle-Bu, Cardio Centre, Ghana Police, 37 Military and Tema General hospitals.

In his remarks, Director of Communications at Melcom, Godwin Avenorgbo, promised the Company’s commitment to supply more to each hospital should they use all for the intended purposes in eight weeks.

According to him, “we’ve invited you here today to support us in extending a hand of friendship once again to selected Hospitals in Accra and Tema.”

“I want to assure you, by kind courtesy of our Group Chairman, when finished using these within eight weeks, will approve and give more,” he stressed.

Representatives of the various institutions were grateful to Melcom and promised to use the items to improve upon both staff and patients hygiene in their respective Health Facilities.

They, however, asked for more in order to keep the confidence level of the workers high throughout the pandemic period.
