The People’s National Convention (PNC), is asking its leader, Dr. Edward Mahama to endeavor to resolve all outstanding issues as soon as possible to pave the way for their congress.
National Chairman of the PNC, Bernard Mornah says the leader of the party, Edward Mahama’s decision to step aside as the party’s presidential candidate will not affect the PNC’s fortunes in the 2020 general election.
Dr. Edward Mahama announced his decision not to contest the December presidential election after meeting with the Chairman and Acting General Secretary.
Mr. Monarh however explained that the new leadership will work fervently to ensure the party’s victory on December 7, despite Dr. Mahama’s decision.
In an interview, Mr. Mornah explained that PNC did not die with Former President, Dr. Hilla Limann and for that matter will not collapse with the exit of Dr. Edward Mahama.
Meanwhile, the National Secretariat of the party is yet to announce a date for its primaries to elect a Flagbearer ahead of the December 7 polls.
