Vice Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang says the policies and programmes of the next NDC administration will enable the citizens to achieve the Ghanaian dream.
She noted that the dream of the Ghanaian is to live in a progressive nation of equal opportunities, the dream of economic prosperity, quality and accessible education and training, access to sustainable jobs, quality leadership, infrastructure, social protection and welfare system.
She said these, together with an all-inclusive development will be achieved under the NDC.
Addressing members of the Sunyani Traditional Council, as part of her campaign tour of the region, Prof Opoku-Agyemang said the NDC had the right policies and human resources to address the difficulties facing Ghanaians.
She thanked the chiefs for the warm reception, and called for support for the NDC to return to power to continue its good works.
Meanwhile,the Paramount Chief of Chiraa Traditional Area, BarimaMintahAfari, has endorsed the Vice Presidential candidature of Professor Opoku-Agyemang, saying it is time for an intelligent and hardworking woman to be at the Presidency.
According to him, the selection of Prof. Opoku-Agyemang as running mate to former President John Mahama is in line with the meaningful progression of women in the governance of the country.
Judging from her achievements, the chief expressed optimism that Prof Opoku-Agyemang, as vice president would offer enormous benefits to the nation through the well-meaning development policies the NDC intends to pursue in government.
