Five Cross-Sectorial Policy Planning Groups that will see to the development of a National Adaptation Plan (NAP) to address the effects of Climate Change have been constituted.
The groups will analyze National Policy Documents and Sectorial Medium-Term Development Plans to identify adaptation gaps and opportunities for planning.
Speaking at the inauguration of the groups, Acting Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency, John Pwamang said enhancing climate resilience of the economy is vital to position the country on a sustainable development path hence the need for the NAP process.
