As the birthday of Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah is marked today, the Flagbearer of the party he founded, Convention People’s Party (CPP), Ivor Greenstreet has been discussing lessons he has learnt from Dr. Nkrumah’s character.
He told Radio Ghana in an interview that Dr. Nkrumah was a selfless leader who believed in the independence and development of the African continent and its people.
He said he is proud to be the Flag bearer of a party Dr. Nkrumah founded.
Mr. Greenstreet said as the Flag bearer of the CPP, he is ready to take the party to higher heights.
He said a CPP government will fill the gap of unhappiness created by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) among Ghanaians over the past 28 years.
According to him, the CPP will provide more social and economic opportunities for the people of the country.
