Unilever partners GBC to promote Ghanaian culture

The Director General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, Prof. Amin Alhassan says the decision to maintain some Television Channels of the Corporation is to promote Ghana’s culture.

Prof. Alhassan explained the Corporation’s Channels such as Obonu, GTV Sports+, Ghana Learning educate is to project Ghanaians in diverse ways through their culture.

He made this known when Unilever Ghana Plc paid a courtesy call on Management of the Corporation. He expressed optimism about the future of GBC due to reforms being implemented to make the Corporation continue to be on its feet again.

Meanwhile, the Managing Director of Unilever, George Owusu Ansah, says the intention to promote Ghana’s rich culture and heritage can be possible only through an effective partnership with GBC.

He told GBC’s George Ankrah that Unilever Ghana and the State Broadcaster are two entities with reputable brands whose collaboration will be essential in promoting Ghana’s culture and heritage.
