Iran Clinic, a medical organisation, in collaboration with the Ghana Red Cross Society (GRCS) has provided free medical services to the aged and vulnerable people at Mamfe in the Akuapem North municipality.
They also provided medicines and consumables worth GH¢45,000, in addition to the various medical screening to over 250 aged and vulnerable in the community to support the government’s effort to improve healthcare delivery in the country.
Acting Director of Iran Clinic, Valiollah Fathipour, said the gesture formed part of the mission of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, to bring relief to the aged and vulnerable in society.
He indicated that the gesture followed an appeal made by Osabarima Ansah Sasraku, Mamfehene and Kyidomhene of the Akuapem Traditional Area, together with the elders and people of Mamfe, to provide the screening for the aged in the area.
He assured that the Clinic, under the Iranian Red Crescent, would continue to offer Ghanaians access to quality healthcare delivery to alleviate the plight of the vulnerable in society.
