More than 4000 areas have been identified as likely flashpoints in the December 2020 polls.
Speaking at the launch of the “Ballots Without Bullets” Project in Accra, Executive Secretary of the National Commission on Small Arms and Light Weapons, Jones Applerh said the Commission will soon embark on a nationwide education and sensitization programme on the dangers of the abuse of guns.
The Commission in partnership with the Police Service is also drawing up strategies to contain any possible security breaches and infractions in those areas before, during and after the general election.
