The Minority Leader in Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu says the House cannot cure the defects in the controversial Agyapa Mineral royalties deal.

The deal which was earlier approved by Parliament, saw the Minority stage a walk out and demanded it be scrapped.

Yesterday (November 3), President Akufo-Addo directed the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta to take the deal back to Parliament following the corruption risk assessment by the Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu.

But the Minority leader says the defects unravelled by the Special Prosecutor cannot be cured by Parliament.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Iddrisu queried how Parliament can cure nepotism and cronyism and many others.

He added that the Minority feels strongly vindicated and the truth must always stand with the political minority at all times.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Finance Committee, Dr Mark Assibey Yeboah has rubbished the report of the Special Prosecutor.

According to him, Mr. Amidu did a very sloppy job.
