The fourth edition of the manual on Election Adjudication in Ghana has been launched in Accra.

The manual, which was initiated by the former Chief Justice, Georgina Theodora Woode in 2008, was developed to help judges at both the lower and superior courts to deal promptly with electoral issues that might be brought before it.

Speaking at the launch, the Chief Justice, Kwesi Anin-Yeboah said for the country to develop, there is the need to handle electoral disputes in an unbiased manner to prevent conflicts especially as Ghana goes to the polls next month.

Chairman of the election Manual Review Committee, Justice Jones Dotse indicated that all electoral disputes brought before it will be dealt with within 42 days after filing.

He said should a candidate win and a misunderstanding arise, it is only the candidate and the EC that could be sued but not the political party.
