Audit Service, CAGD begins nationwide payroll and personal validation exercise

The Ghana Audit Service and the Controller and Accountant Generals Department (CAGD) have started the nationwide payroll and personal validation exercise in the Upper East Region. This is aimed at cleaning the bloated payroll.
The exercise, which is expected to end on Tuesday, October 16, will take place in fifteen Districts in the Region.
About twenty-six thousand Public Sector workers in the Upper East Region are expected to go through validation process. There will be a mop-up to ensure that all Public Sector workers in the region go through the process.
