The Special Voting at La Nkwantanang-Madina Divisional Police Station Headquarters started at 07:00 hours on Tuesday with expectant long queues of voters ready to cast their ballots.
The La Nkwantanang-Madina Divisional Police Station Headquarters which has been designated as the Polling Station had about 106 voters in a queue as at 07:00, when the Ghana News Agency visited the center.
The Presiding Officer Mr. Justice Tengey told the GNA that their team had set-up as at 06:45 hours.
Mr. Tengey said 751 Special Voters are expected to vote at two separate centers but on the same location, explaining that it had always been two different centers irrespective of the number of voters.
Two Presidential Candidates: President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of New Patriotic Party (NPP), and Former President John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) had their agent present at the Polling Station.
The agent of the Parliamentary Candidates for Abu-Bakar Saddique Boniface (NPP) and Francis Xavier Kojo Susu (NDC) were also present.
Security personnel from the Ghana Police Service were around to maintain law and order.
The Electoral Commission team also ensured each individual adhered to the COVID-19 protocol before entering the voting premises.
GNA observes that the voting exercise had begun smoothly, timely and peacefully with voters moving according to instructions.
