President Akufo-Addo has assured the nation that the December 7 polls will be peaceful just as the Special voting.
The Media, security agencies and identifiable groups took part in early voting which was generally peaceful.
With less than five days to the general election, President Akufo-Addo said political parties with no message will resort to violence.
President stated this when he inaugurated a new district Headquarters for the Police service at Bohyen in the Ashanti region.
President Akufo-Addo ended the three-day tour of the Ashanti region with a drive through to the Central business district of Bantama.
Activities got to a standstill when the President and his team arrived.
Traders, mainly women, had to abandon their stalls to welcome the President.
The team then proceeded to Suame Magazine to address artisans.
Chairman of the Suame Magazine Traders Association, Osei Bonsu, rallied support for the President.
The Majority leader and MP for Suame, OseiKyei Mensah Bonsu cautioned the people of Suame against false news as the election approaches.
President Akufo-Addo told the enthusiastic crowd to make the voting a priority on election day.
President Akufo-Addo early on inaugurated a new police headquarters for the Bohyen district.
He again assured Ghanaians that the elections will be peaceful.
President Akufo-Addo and his team will be in the Eastern region today for a day’s tour.
