Collation at the Ablekuma North Constituency Coalition Centre, at Odorkor Presbyterian Church, in Accra was nearly marred when alarm was raised over suspicious acts by a presiding officer.

The officer who is yet to be identified, is alleged to have scaled a ballot box over a wall, a development some on lookers who had kept vigil all night would not yield to.

The incident which happened around 1:40am saw agitated crowds mass up behind the gate, amidst shouting and screaming which forced the security personnel to call for reinforcement.

Political party agents agreed to reseal the ballot box which was accompanied by three political party agents, the Presiding Officer and Police and taken to the Odorkor Police station for further investigation.

Around 2:51am a white saloon car with ballot boxes which had been parked outside the collation centre had to be forced opened, because people felt the ballot boxes had been stuffed.

The Presiding Officer who gave his name as Donald Amoah and claimed to have worked at Christ Mission polling station had a difficult time explaining himself to EC officials and other persons present.

He claimed an earlier long queue that characterized submission of ballot boxes for collation made him to pass sometime off in his vehicle.

There was consensus for the box to be transported to the police station for further investigations.
