The NDC Member of Parliament, for Ningo-Prampram, Samuel Nartey George has been declared winner in the elections.
Mr. George polled 48,661 against his main contender, Alexander Martey, a presidential staffer who stood on the ticket of the NPP, who secured 19,911 votes.
Freeborn Kofi Teye of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) had 869 while the Independent Candidate, Angmor Richard Nartey, polled 289 votes.
Mr. George, prior to this contest vowed to increase the NDC margins by 20,000 votes and lived up to his words by stretching his closest contender by 28,750 votes.
