NDC MPs clash with police as they walk to EC headquarters to present petition

NDC legislators on Tuesday walked from Parliament House to the offices of the Electoral Commission to drum home the party’s grievances against the 2020 elections.

The protest which was led by Haruna Iddrisu, the Minority Leader in Parliament and the Minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak clashed with the police as they were prevented from going beyond mounted barricade.

According to the police they were not aware of any walk by the Minority to the EC offices.

The MPs however defied the orders of the police which resulted in a scuffle.

The NDC says the march is to prevail on the Electoral Commission (EC) concerning declaration of President Akufo-Addo as winner of the 2020 election and also to properly collate the 2020 Techiman South Constituency Election results.
