President Akufo-Addo is expected to meet Cabinet today to decide on the possible reopening of schools in January.
The Minister of Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, who disclosed this said government has been in discussions with various stakeholders within the sector to come up with a comprehensive and detailed plan on the reopening of schools.
In a Twitter post, the Minister said key on the President’s agenda will be to examine the proposals for assuring the safety of children, should schools reopen.

With sections of the public raising concerns as to a potential spike in COVID cases should schools resume, the Minister gave the assurance that government will take decisions that are in the best interest of the country.
