The next Parliament of Ghana is expected to come to a lot of compromises to aid effective business of the House. This is because there is no clear majority by both parties in Parliament.
The selection of a Speaker also seems to hang in the balance with both sides pitching their candidates.
A Governance Analyst, Fred Agyarko Oduro who assessed the eighth Parliament which will be in session at the stroke of midnight today said there is also the need for backroom discussion to ensure consensus building.
Mr. Agyarko Oduro suggested that the NDC be given some roles especially in the chairing of Committees as this will help the two parties to cooperate in the interest of the nation.
