The Petitioner in the 2020 election petition has filed his closing address in accordance with the orders of the Supreme Court (SC).

The Petitioner in the address urged the court in its judgment on March, 4 to direct the Electoral Commission to conduct another election between him and the second respondent.

It is his case that he has been able to prove his case that none of the Candidates in the 2020 Presidential election met the threshold of obtaining more than 50 percent of the valid votes cast to be declared winner.

He claims that per the results declared by the Chairperson of the EC on December 9, no candidate met the requirement.

According to the Petitioner, his three witnesses led evidence to support his case and their credibility and truthfulness are beyond doubt.

He also submits that the testimony of the witnesses clearly shows a breach of the Constitution by the EC Chairperson which should be urgently addressed by the court.
