The Ghana Education Service, GES, has rescheduled the re-opening of schools for SHS one students from the 10th to the 18th through to the 21st of this month.
A statement issued by Head of Public Relations of the Service, Cassandra Twum-Ampofo explained that this will enable students and parents to have ample time to prepare for school.
The GES said some students have not yet enrolled and the extension will give them the opportunity to do so. However, Madam Ampofo noted that academic work will commence fully on the 22nd of this month.
She expressed appreciation to parents, students and the public for their support and cooperation so far.
Meanwhile, GES has granted the request of heads of Senior High Schools to have Mid-Semester Break from 8th to 11th of this month stressing that the break is not compulsory so students who wish to stay on campus must be fed and adhere to school rules.
All staff, Parents, students and the public are encouraged to take note of the changes and comply.
