The fourteen teenagers who drowned at Apam last week will be buried today.
Ahead of the burial, the Chiefs and Elders of the Apam Traditional Area in the Gomoa West District of the Central Region yesterday (March 15), performed rituals to pacify the gods of the land.
According to the Amakorahene of Gomoa Akyempim Traditional Council, Nana Obokomatta who led a delegation to perform the rituals said they were in preparation to perform the necessary rites to pave the way for the children to be buried.
He said, as part of the rituals, a cow and a sheep were slaughtered among other necessary rites to clear the way for the burial.
He urged parents to take care of their children for this atrocity not to every happen again.
