The fifth Volta Regional Trade and Investment Fair has been launched in Ho to harness the economic potential and propel industrialization of the Region.
The two-week fair slated for 15th to 28th November at the Ho Sports Stadium, will focus on Promoting Sustainable Trade and Investment with special attention on agribusiness, tourism and ICT.
It is expected to attract more than 500 exhibitors and eight thousand visitors.
Launching the fair, the Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa said the event will be a major boost to the region’s economic growth and government’s industrialization drive.
The Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa challenged the private sector to lead the economic transformation drive of the region.
He therefore called for partnerships and building of synergies between the Regional Coordinating Council and the private sector.
The Chairman of the Volta, Eastern and Oti branches of the Association of Ghana Industries, Dela Gadzanku asked local businesses to showcase the best of their products and artifacts to attract more patrons.
President of the Volta Development Forum, Dr. Prince Kofi Kludjeson urged Municipal and District Chief Executives to rollout policies and programmes to accelerate development at the local level.
The fifth Volta Regional Trade and Investment Fair received endorsement from major stakeholders such as traditional authorities, business groups and academic institutions in the region.
