Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Accra, Rt. Rev. Dr. Daniel Sylvanus Mensah Torto, has asked churches to adopt practicable methods to minimize the effect of COVID-19 on their mission work.

He said the pandemic has made pastoring a challenge and the church needs to embrace new ways of doing pastoral ministry.

Bishop Torto made the remarks in a homily to mark Maundy Thursday.

He charged parishes in the Diocese to leverage on technology to evangelize, and explore opportunities for revenue generation to grow the church.

The Anglican Bishop said as churches have been characterised by low attendance, it is important to renew the commitment to members who are still unsure about their safety in churches amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
