The Eastern Regional Commander of the MTTD of the Ghana Police Service, Chief Superintendent Stephen Ahiatafu has described the Nsawam – Nkawkaw section of the Accra-Kumasi Highway as bloody saying it needs special attention.
He said that stretch of road recorded forty-two out of the ninety-seven fatal accidents recorded in the region during the first quarter of this year.
Speaking in an interview, Chief Superintendent Ahiatafu said the dualization of the Accra-Kumasi Highway will be the best solution as it will prevent most accidents that occur, especially head-on collisions.
