The Australian High Commissioner to Ghana, Gregory Andrews, says he considers the Ghanaian Jollof rice more nutritious than the Nigerian Jollof.
His comment comes after a major banter on social media between Ghanaians and Nigerians about which country had the better version of the dish.
The battle between Ghana and Nigeria for this delicacy has also triggered down the preference of other nationalities who visit these west African countries.
But sharing photos in a tweet, Mr Andrews, who is also accredited to Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Sierra Leone, Senegal, and Togo, said the Ghanaian Jollof was better.
There is no way Nigerian #JollofRice could be better than the Ghanaian #Jollof which I bought for lunch today from Dollar Rice on Oxford Street in Osu. Tell me I’m wrong @AusHCAbuja. #JollofWars pic.twitter.com/YzK94t3lHg
