Executive Secretary of the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers, COPEC, Duncan Amoah, has hailed the reduction in fuel prices from 17 Pesewas per litre to 9 Pesewas.
The increase announced by the National Petroleum Authority which came into force, on the First of this month, generated a huge public outcry.
In a sharp u-turn, the NPA after a meeting yesterday with the Ministry of Energy and other key stakeholders announced the reduction by Eight Pesewas.
Speaking to GBC NEWS, Mr. Amoah said the development speaks highly of the leadership skills of the Sector Minister.
This notwithstanding, COPEC and its allied agencies will continue to explore more avenues for further reduction in fuel prices.
