Eidul-Fitr Prayers can’t be held in large congregations – Chief Imam

The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Nuhu Sharabutu has declared that this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr Prayers and celebrations cannot be observed in large congregations due to Covid-19 restrictions.

A statement from the office of the National Chief Imam noted that strict adherence to the Covid protocols is expected from all.

According to the statement, the national, regional and district Eid Prayers, will not take place as usually observed.

The Chief Iman therefore advised all Muslims to hold their Eid Prayers at Jummah Mosques in their communities and localities.
