Senior Vice President and Head of Ghana Business Unit at Kosmos Energy Ghana, Joe Mensah, says future oil revenues in Africa if utilised well could help address the infrastructural deficit on the continent.

The continent has been producing oil for decades but proceeds from the sector have not reflected in infrastructure development.

On 2020 oil production by the jubilee partners, he said production was one of the best since the start of the Jubilee Field operation. This was in spite of the disruptions brought by the COVID-19 pandemic unto the global supply chain.

Mr. Mensah is upbeat about the production prospects saying with the new wells being dug, production is expected to increase.

He was speaking at the side lines of the final pitch of the 2020 Cohort of the Kosmos Innovation Centre Agritech Challenge in Accra.
