In line with the administrative arrangement on public transport fares, the Road Transport Operators have reviewed upwards the prices of public transport fares across all category of services by 13% with effect from Saturday June 5.
A Press Release issued by the Road Transport Operators stated that this is to accommodate predominantly an increase in the price of fuel.
The increment affects
1. INTER-CITY (TRO-TRO)
2. INTERCITY (LONG DISTANCE)
3. SHARED TAXIS
The statement urges members to comply with the new fares and post same at their loading terminals and also requests Members, Commuters and General Public to cooperate for the successful implementation of the new fares.
