NCCE launches National Dialogue on Survey Report on tackling violent extremism

The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), has launched a National Dialogue on a Survey Report aimed at tackling violent extremism.

The report is dubbed Preventing Electoral Violence and providing Security to the Northern Boarder Regions of Ghana.

Speaking at the launch,  the  Chairperson of the  NCCE, Josephine Nkrumah said although Ghana has held eight successive peaceful elections over the years,  they were not devoid of violence which threatened the peace and stability of the country.

She said it is important measures are put in place to address this challenge.

Mrs Nkrumah said the dialogue will create a platform for stakeholders to interrogate findings in the report to chart the way forward.
