The Senior Staff Association of Universities of Ghana has called off its nationwide strike with members expected to resume work on Monday.
This follows the commencement of negotiations with the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission as well as the National Labour Commission yesterday.
President of the Association Mohammed Zakaria told Nathaniel Nartey in an interview that the negotiations have been successful so far, adding that the parties agreed that all concerns should be addressed not later than July 9.
He defended the Association’s decision to go on strike because such actions always yield good results.
