Members of the NDC caucus on the Appointments Committee of Parliament yesterday boycotted the vetting of a Deputy Local Government, Rural Development and Decentralization Minister nominee, Martin.

The decision was in protest of the unresolved Techiman South Parliamentary seat dispute at the 2020 general elections.

At the sitting of the Twenty-six-man committee in Accra, the thirteen NDC lawmakers were conspicuously missing, leaving their colleagues in the majority to vet the nominee alone.

The caucus had earlier hinted on Thursday that it would stay off the vetting of Mr. Korsah because finality has not been brought to the matter.

It contended that if it participated in the vetting, it would have given its approval to Mr. Korsah`s legitimacy.

Mr. Korsah was declared the winner of the bloody election which allegedly claimed three lives.

The NDC claimed it won the polls by Two hundred and Ninety-two votes but had its arms twisted by the governing NPP with the use of the military, denying the party the majority in the current parliament.
