Daily Graphic is worried that the fight to end child labour by 2025 is yet to be won. It says child labour, which is mentally, physically, socially and morally dangerous to children, deprives them of their education, a menace that needs to end. Stressing on the fact that issues of child labour has assumed an international dimension, the paper is of the view that committing to ending the menace is not enough. To the paper, more action is required especially with the COVID 19 pandemic eroding the gains made so far. The Graphic therefore calls for an all-hands-on-deck approach to completely eliminate all forms of child labour to ensure that children are well nurtured to fulfil their potential.
Ghanaian Times lauds Government and the Ghana Statistical Service, for the elaborate preparation towards the upcoming 2021 Population and Housing Census. It says for the exercise to be successful; everyone must actively participate. The paper, however, appeals to some people, who for religious and secular reasons, avoid being counted, especially Muslims, to change their perception that they are foreigners and avail themselves for the exercise. The Times also advises enumerators to apply the best skills and knowledge for everyone to fully participate.
