The Trades Union Congress, TUC has urged government to make good its commitment to top up the lump sum benefits of workers who retired in 2020 under the three Tier Pension Scheme.
These workers it noted retired with inferior lump-sum benefits compared to what they would have received if they had retired under the old pension scheme, PNDC Law 247.
The TUC said government agreed to top up the lump-sum benefits of these retirees but it is close to a year since government committed itself but they are yet to receive the money.
