Case of Menzgold Ghana CEO adjourned to September 2, 2021 due to ill-health

An Accra Circuit Court hearing the case of the Chief Executive Officer of  Menzgold Ghana Limited Nana Appiah Mensah has adjourned  the case to the second of September due to the ill-health of the accused person.

Lawyer for NAM One told the Circuit Court Judge, Mrs. Evelyn Asamoah, that her client is coughing so she advised him to see his doctors this morning.

She apologised to the court for the absence of her client.

The Prosecutor in the case,  Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Slyvester Asare said the accused person has always been in court and for the sake of his absence, he prayed for the case to be adjourned.

NAM One has been charged with abetment of crime, defrauding by false pretences, carrying on a deposit-taking business without license, sale of minerals without a license, unlawful deposit-taking, and money laundering.

It is alleged that the accused person had taken various sums of money, of about 1.6 billion cedis from customers.
