The Kaneshie District Court has discharged 38 suspects involved in the alleged Western Togoland case.

This brings to 49 the number of accused persons who have been discharged upon advice from the Attorney General.

Detective Inspector Richard Amoah told the court that the prosecution has received advice from the Attorney General’s office on the docket, which indicates there is not enough evidence against the accused persons.

Another group of 38 has been charged with Treason Felony and Conspiracy to commit crime.

They have been remanded into police custody awaiting the bill of indictment from the Attorney General.

The case has been adjourned to the 19th of this month.
