Switzerland is assisting Ghana with twenty million dollars to support the country’s project of boosting the Renewable Energy Sector to help reduce carbon dioxide emissions within 10 years.

This will be used in the production of improved cook stoves and decentralization of solar power among others.

Signing a Memorandum of Understanding, the Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Kwaku Afriyie, said the money will help in the achievement of the country’s Nationally Determined Contributions in reducing carbon dioxide emissions as expected in the Paris Agreement.
