Education Think Tank, Eduwatch has reacted to the West African Examinations Council, WAEC’s statement that no Food and Nutrition Practical 3 Examination questions in the ongoing 2021 WASSCE leaked.

Education Think Tank, Africa Education Watch, says it stands by its claim that there was indeed a leakage of the paper.

WAEC at a media briefing rejected the claims, insisting that they are untrue.

Head of National Office at WAEC, Mrs. Wendy Lamptey said the purported question paper forwarded by the Education Think Tank is entirely different from the actual question paper taken by the students.

“We wish to state emphatically that the information put out by Eduwatch about the alleged leakage of the food and nutrition papers is untrue, it’s misleading and is creating anxiety among the candidates and our public.”

“They will deceive them [students] and draw attention away from their books. We want to advise all candidates on such platforms to exit them immediately. The security operatives are on alert and assured us they are working to bring these perpetrators to books,” Mrs. Lamptey cautioned.

Mrs. Lamptey added that this is not the first time the Council has received such a misleading circulation from Eduwatch.

“Eduwatch’s paper that they sent to us was not the only fake paper we had. We had some media houses forwarding to us questions they had and after the paper was taken, we forwarded to them, the actual paper that was taken.”

She lauded the media’s approach to the issue.

Meanwhile, Executive Director of Africa Education Watch, Kofi Asare says the Think Tank remains resolute that the Food and Nutrition Practical 3 Examination questions in the ongoing 2021 WASSCE leaked.
